The CVC Asia Pacific Broadcast Centre officially opened on September 14th, 2002 in Maroochydore, Queensland Australia as a “state of the art” 1000 square metre complex built on three acres of land consisting of ten studios, and a workplace sufficient to employ the variety of staff required in maintaining such an organisation. The facility provides the programming, production and broadcast for three major language services including CVC Network News which is broadcast not only to the Asia Pacific Region and Africa ~ but also globally within Christian Vision. The multi cultural CVC NETWORK LTD is well recognised as a World Class International Radio Broadcaster.
CVC broadcasts to China in “Mandarin” and to Indonesia in “Bahasa Indonesia”. The CVC English service broadcasts to China, Indonesia, India, Pakistan and also to Africa but has been received in many other countries which are well outside of the target broadcast area.
CVC Network News is broadcast in English globally.
CVC programs are made using digital cutting edge technology. Broadcasts sent from the Asia Pacific Region are up linked via satellites to the CVC Transmitter site in Darwin where they are beamed out by 6 transmitters and antennae’s in an analogue short wave format which then reaches the S.W. radios of potentially 3 billion listeners in the CVC target countries audience. Several satellites are used in this complex process. CVC programmes can also be heard by web streaming from the internet. (Please use the link below). Digital short wave for CVC is a goal for the near future allowing greater clarity and quality of reception to the listener.
Listener responses from many countries have grown to at least 20,000 a month. A response development system (RDS) was designed to successfully allow CVC and missionary helpers to respond back to CVC listeners by email – letter – phone SMS or text messaging. Personal relationships with its audience has allowed for programming to become more pertinent and relevant allowing CVC to know their audiences well. CVC fills a void in the youth market for globally appealing programming in a fast paced and contemporary format. From the latest music to engaging talk, news, sport, lively chat back, competitions and heaps of information all reflect hope with positive values. CVC is “All about REAL life.”
