CVC SHORTWAVE CHILE
CVC Shortwave Chile is based 30km southwest of Santiago, the capital city of Chile in a rural location, Calera de Tango. Back in 1996, Christian Vision purchased this site, and after refurbishments and improvements, launched what at that time was called "Voz Cristiana" in 1998.
This station operates eight 100 Kw short wave transmitters and provide broadcasts 24 hours a day in Spanish throughout Iberoamerica (Latin America and Spain) and the United States, and in Portuguese 24 hours a day to Brazil. Also broadcasts a Portuguese programming through an experimental signal of Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM), two hours a day in weekdays, pionnering this technology in South America.
